Hey Jacinta is a like a real ‘living on my own in the apartment’ sort of song. It’s a product of the time and a place. I wrote it in a home-setting, looking off the balcony and it was definitely going from autumn to winter and it was getting colder. I’ve got a friend called Jacinta – we’re not together and we never really were at all. But it seemed to work so she’s got her name in it. I played it to her, and her boyfriend was there at the time, and they both liked it, so I’m happy with that.
