Those Eyes is a strange beast. It’s very much a pop song. I like it because it’s a bit of fun. Some people say it sounds like a hit. Which is like, ‘Great, if it’s a hit, it’s a hit – never say no to a hit.’ I don’t know why but it almost sounds like I had a go writing a song as if it’s out of one of those old teen movies – Pretty In Pink or one of those Patrick Swayze movies, for some weird reason.
